We spent a year in Thailand, minus the 3 months we flew back to Canada to visit family & friends. We loved Thailand, the beautiful warm friendly people, the uniqueness of the culture, the wonder of the Muslim and Buddhist religions. We found Phuket's topography to be captivatingly varied, the outer islands stunning with their rock formations, beaches and clear waters. Aside from the heat of the monsoon season, we would have liked to stay forever!
